2017 Napa Valley Merlot

This 100% Merlot was aged 26 months in 20% new French oak and 80% second vintage oak. The nose includes black cherries, plums, pomegranate and bay leaves. Deep black fruit flavors form the base that   follows, with bay leaves from the nose and accents of white pepper that carry into the palate. The excellent balance and complementary tannins result in a long, polished finish. It is full bodied yet elegant and ready to enjoy now, or patient owners will benefit from additional complexities that will develop in the bottle over the next several years.
