2018 J.McClelland Cellars - Napa Valley Petit Verdot

New Release

This release is deeply concentrated with a very dense ruby hue. It shows notes of wet river stone, lead pencil and black rose perfume. The multi layered flavor profile also includes dense currants in the middle of the palate and a pleasant hint of spice that sneaks into the finish. The body and structure can be summarized as mountainside ruggedness with superb balance and ripe tannins. This youthful wine can be enjoyed tonight and also has wonderful aging potential.

2013 J.McClelland Cellars - Napa Valley Petit Verdot

Hand harvested October 8 in the oak knoll district. Each lot was fermented separately, de-stemmed into stainless steel for fermentation, fined with fresh egg whites and barrel aged for 26 months in French oak. The deep, intense ruby color is characteristic of cooler climate Petit Verdot. Full bodied, polished and expansive on the palate with currant and spice flavors and a long, flavorful finish.
